How it works
A trailing drawdown follows your highest balance up. Your liquidation level is highest balance - max drawdown, and it rises as you make new highs but never falls back.
Many firms stop the trailing once the level reaches your starting balance, and some stop it at starting balance plus $100. Pick the option that matches your firm. Firms also differ on whether the high is measured intraday on open profits or at end of day, so check the exact rule before relying on this number.
